Pro Medicus to install Digital Imaging at Flagship Site Pro Medicus Limited (ASX:PME) announced today that it has signed an agreement to supply its full suite of digital imaging integration products to a state of the art radiology clinic. For commercial reasons the company is unable to provide details of the client or the clinic. This latest development comes on the heels of rapid gains the company has made with this technology over the past few months. These include signing a $10 million three year deal with global health care company AGFA-GEVAERT N.V. (Agfa) to market to North American imaging centers and a $2.2 million contract with the AltaPACS group in Calgary, Canada. Pro Medicus digital imaging products, developed as part of its alliance with Agfa, fully integrate the Pro Medicus Practice Management systems with a wide range of Agfa's market leading digital imaging equipment. Practices using this technology have been able to achieve significant productivity improvements for radiologists and technical staff as well as increased utilisation of capital-intensive radiology equipment. The digital imaging market in Australia is conservatively estimated to be worth in excess of $100 million over the next three years. "This sale confirms our belief that the move to digital radiology has started to gain momentum here in Australia, which is consistent with what we are seeing in the US and Canada," said Dr Hupert. "We believe that we are ideally positioned with our technology to be a key player in this evolving market." For more information:
