The Promedicus.net server is a secure, fully managed server acting as a repository for the encrypted letters. Referring Doctors connect to this server via the Internet using our Client Software. This can be installed on any computer with a working Internet connection, i.e. results can be accessed regardless of choice of Internet Service Provider (ISP).

The list of software companies that directly integrate Promedicus.net is growing. Please check with us to see if your practice management system is directly supported. For systems which are not directly integrated we have a number of alternative ways of transferring letters to Promedicus.net so please contact us for advice.

The Promedicus.net system does not use common 'email' like Microsoft Outlook™ and therefore is not susceptible to the viruses that target these systems. Only encrypted data with your security key can be downloaded - nothing else can get through. The secure server does not accept any mail that is not an encrypted report from your provider.

All of these measures coupled with ongoing system monitoring prevent unsolicited mail and viruses. Promedicus.net is also configurable to run behind firewalls.
