The
Promedicus.net Secure Email System comprises three components that combine
to enable the electronic delivery of diagnostic results and reports between
diagnostic service providers and referring doctors.
Secure Email Server Software
This is an add-on product to the Practice Management System, residing
on the server at the diagnostic service provider, this software:
| • | Ensures all relevant reports are mailed |
| • | Formats the clinical report according to industry standard files |
| • | Encrypts e-reports™ "on the fly" as they are sent |
| • | Logs sending and receipt of the e-report™ |
We use 1024 BIT military-grade encryption to send e-reports™, tracking and logging them along the way. Sending and receipt logs on an e-reports™ help diagnostic service providers and referrers fulfil their legal duty-of-care requirements.
The
Promedicus.net Server
This is a secure server administered by Pro Medicus. All e-reports™,
sent as encrypted e-mails from diagnostic service providers, are stored
in specialised mailboxes on this server, ready for retrieval by referring
doctors. Management functions built into this server help us support and
maintain the secure delivery to referrers.
The
Promedicus.net Client Software
This specially developed software enables referring doctors to download
and decrypt e-reports™ stored on their behalf by the Promedicus.net
server. It resides on a referrer’s desktop and generates the "Pm.net"
icon - the gateway to a world of e-health.
This software has simple to use "one-click" mechanism that can
be automated. It is independent of ISP and diagnostic provider, runs on
both Windows and Apple Mac with all the popular clinical programs. The
greatest advantage is that this system will also aggregate reports from
multiple providers - a true single icon, independent and fast mechanism.
Promedicus.net
Secure Email Client software has been designed for distribution via the
internet, diskette, CD-ROM or e-mail. It is usually distributed by diagnostic
service providers, which creates good opportunities for improving relationships
and service between referrers and their providers.
